History
  • The cottage is Listed (Grade II),
    dating back to the 17th Century
  • It has gone through a number of
    evolutions during its c.400 year history
  • The original building comprised
    a 2 roomed (1 up, 1 down) cottage and barn
  • Later a large extension was added,
    and this became the Red Hart Pub
  • The old cottage and barn became the
    brewhouse, where the beer was made
    for the sale behind the bar

Cottage Layout

The Cottage comprises a master bedroom with ensuite bathroom
and galleried landing, leading down steep stone, spiral steps to a further bedroom with a double bed.

 

This, in turn, leads through to the living/dining and kitchen area, in which the sofa
can be converted into an additional three quater size bed, suitable for one person.

 

There is also a downstairs toilet, conservatory
and deck area with mountain views, and offroad parking on the driveway.

 

For bigger groups, use of our two bed and breakfast rooms
(a double and a twin with full size bunkbeds with a shared private bathroom including a shower-bath)
is available in a separate area of the house, if required.


Heating
The cottage is centrally heated.
An electric stove (wood burner effect) is available at a supplement of BR>for a weekend / 3 day Short Break, or BR>for a 4 to 7 day Break.
    Evening Meals
    Evening meals are served at the Red Lion Pub. Please note that prebooking is essential -
    Tel 01873 810754).

    Change-Over Times
    Arrival after 4:00pm; Departure by 11:00am
    Open year round.
    We regret we are unable to accommodate children under 12 years, pets or smokers.
